Conchas Dam is located approximately 34 miles northwest of Tucumcari, New Mexico on Highway 104, or approximately 75 miles southwest of Las Vegas, New Mexico on State Road 104. If you are unfamiliar with the area here's a map that should help.
Activities
Conchas Lake State Park is open year round for fishing, and is stocked by the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. Walleye, bluegill, crappie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, channel catfish and bullhead are all found in abundance.
Other popular water activities at Conchas Lake include:
boating and sailing
water skiing
swimming
snorkeling
scuba diving In addition to water activities there is also a 9-hole golf course, camping facilities overlooking beautiful Conchas Lake, picnic facilities, and enough wildlife to keep avid nature watchers entertained for hours.

Lodging and Camping Facilities
There are no facilities in the State Park. An historic hotel, several motels, RV sites, and camping sites are located in the surrounding area. Camping is available at:

Generally hot, dry summers, occasional snow in winter, fierce winds in spring. Walking shoes and sportswear in summer, light outerwear in winter are recommended.
